Google Stadia Celebrates 1 Years with Updates and Info

It’s been just over a year since Google Stadia launched, and despite there being hundreds and thousands of vocal critics, those that have actually tried and used the system are very impressed. Our team at GamesReviews falls into that category. With a year in the rearview mirror, Google is providing some updates on what to expect going forward for Google Stadia!

The first major announcement is that iOS testing of Google Stadia will begin in the next few weeks. One of the greatest misses so far in the first year is those with iPhone and iPads have not been able to enjoy Stadia. That will be changing, hopefully soon. Stay tuned for more information on that front.

Google also announced a slew of Stadia stats:

• 100+ Stadia platform improvements, which means if there was an issue you originally had with Stadia, it very well might be patched by now!
• 135+ available games by end of 2020
• 65+ free games with Stadia Pro
• “Acquisition of Typhoon Studios. Partnerships with Harmonix, Supermassive Games and Uppercut Games. SG&E studios in Montreal and Los Angeles and much more”

Google is also giving away free Google Stadia Premier edition bundles. Here are the official details:

As a reminder, if you already pre-ordered Cyberpunk 2077 before this announcement, you can also get a free Stadia Premiere Edition. Keep an eye out for that email within a few weeks of launch.

How to get Stadia Premiere Edition if you buy on or after December 10 (while supplies last)

If you’d rather wait until the game comes out, just buy Cyberpunk 2077 for $79.99 CAD in the Stadia store December 10 through December 17 (while supplies last), then follow steps 3-4 above.
