Wintermoor Tactics Club is out now on the Nintendo Switch eshop!

I received a review code for the game today and while I’ve only played it a little bit, I thought I’d offer some first impressions of the game, along with my thoughts on the launch trailer.

The Wintermoor Tactics Club features voice acting in its trailer that tells us about its story. Wintermoor is meant to be a game that anyone, new or veteran tactical fans, can play. The trailer does a very good job of setting the story and some of the characters up.

Wintermoor Tactics Club the game does not feature voice acting but does feature a very interesting setting and unique characters. The game is rated E for everyone, so its a game that anyone of any age can pick up and play. The battles, right now, are a bit simplistic but still pretty neat.

I really like the game’s graphics and the combat seems like it will get even more interesting as new abilities are unlocked. I like how the game’s story and the combat are inspired by both tabletop and video game tactical games.

There is also a big focus on story in the game and between battles you wander around the school and interact with NPCs. The “hand drawn” world map is so cool and school looks really nice.

I’m very excited to play more of Wintermoor Tactics Club. I like the idea of a cozy and player friendly rpg. And the kids and the snowball fight aspect remind me of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance! I look forward to seeing where the game goes next.
