Developing A New Gaming World On The Go

For many, mobile games represent a big step forward in gaming. We all have acquaintances, family members, and friends addicted to mobile apps such as Candy Crush, Disney’s Tsum Tsum, or who like to play the latest top mobile casino game. Mobile games can be real gaming platforms, even though these distractions have an audience and represent a significant financial opportunity for firms. Who are the primary participants in this scenario? Who is in charge of the mobile game industry’s future?

The year 2021 will be remembered for many things. Still, the mobile gaming business will be recognised for the continuous expansion of hypercasual as a genre, some astonishingly significant acquisitions, and a series of app store skirmishes. Apple Arcade has provided a new revenue stream for premium mobile developers, while free-to-play revenue has increased as users spend more time at home. And we’ve seen streaming services ramp up their efforts, with Stadia and xCloud competing with console games on smaller displays.

We want to recognise the developers who are making significant market moves, investing heavily in their future and having great potential ahead of them. Maybe it’s a new game that’s just gotten a soft launch, or perhaps it’s an exciting acquisition that’s got people’s tongues wagging at the moment. Whatever the situation may be, daring initiatives and tremendous development have been the keys to success. So here you have it, our list of the top five mobile game creators.

  1. Activision Blizzard – Activision Blizzard, based in Santa Monica, is a prolific game producer. Overwatch, Crash Bandicoot, Call of Duty, and a bevvy of other classic gaming brands and franchises are all available from both creators. In addition, they are the creators of Candy Crush, the worldwide craze. I recall coworkers, aunts, mothers, and grandmothers all being huge fans of the game. Activision Blizzard, I believe, has the most promise in terms of mobile gaming in the future. They already have a strong presence in the industry and have demonstrated that they know how to make games. Their potential for further game development, as well as a wealth of fantastic series, is exciting.
  2. NetEase – NetEase is a Chinese behemoth that continues to expand and do ever more fascinating things in the mobile realm, but its future right now – particularly for western players – is possibly it’s most tempting ever. Of course, its games in China aren’t sluggish. For example, in the publisher’s nation, the Fantasy Westward Journey game series, which includes a recently published 3D edition, continues to do well.

Their licenced products frequently achieve incredible results, such as its 4v1 Tom and Jerry game, which racked up over 100 million players in its first year. Indeed, NetEase’s ability to acquire and efficiently use licences is what makes the company so fascinating right now, with three games in particular piquing our interest: Marvel Duel, Lord of the Rings: Rise to War, and Harry Potter: Magic Awakened. NetEase is also looking to the future, establishing a new development facility in Tokyo dedicated to next-generation games, including mobile. On top of that, it recently went public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, raising $2.7 billion in the process.

  1. EA Mobile – Triple-A juggernaut Electronic Arts is known for its successful sports game line, developed by the company’s EA Sports subsidiary, and timeless classics like The Sims and Need for Speed. Studio-within-a-studio EA Mobile shrinks those games to fit in your pocket, as well as generating independent apps for iOS and Android. PopCap Games, the company behind the tile-matching megahit Bejeweled series and the famous Plants Vs. Zombies are also based there.
  2. Tintash – Tintash is a leading game app development firm specialising in world-class 2D and 3D game design, production, and development. Top game developers adhere to the best web and mobile app development standards and provide vital business services such as excellent communication, complete visibility, transparency, and on-time delivery. Tintash is one of the top gaming firms continually striving for perfection by breaking down game creation obstacles.
  3. Apple – In March of this year, Apple introduced its Apple Arcade. Apple Arcade provides in-house game creation, respected brands, and known game developers in addition to a large assortment of mobile games. The new Apple Arcade aims to build a platform with over 100 games on which the business collaborates closely with game designers and developers. In the third quarter of 2020, gamers spent US$11 billion on Apple’s App Store, a 25 per cent increase over the previous year’s Q3 revenue. In addition, customers downloaded 33 billion new applications during the quarter and spent more than 180 billion hours using them.

Global gaming revenues will surpass US$169.3 billion in 2021, according to market research firm Newzoo, with mobile gaming accounting for 48 per cent of the total. With that in mind, it’s no surprise that the mobile gaming business is developing quicker than any other section of the gaming industry. According to Newzoo, the sector will increase at a rate of more than 13.3% year over year in 2021, reaching a market value of $77.2 billion. The rise in worldwide smartphone sales and 5G and mobile infrastructure are all critical drivers of revenue growth.
