WarioWare: Get It Together! Demo Impressions

Last night, Nintendo released a demo of WarioWare: Get It Together! for the Nintendo Switch. I checked the demo out and here are my impressions of it. Also check out Adam Roffel’s first look video of the demo below.

A demo WarioWare: Get It Together! was released for the Nintendo Switch last night. It is available now on the eshop.

Disclaimer: I am a huge fan of WarioWare so it was very likely that I was going to like this demo. And guess what!
I thought the demo was very good. It was very short too.

WarioWare mini-games are super short, sure, and the section of the game you play in the demo is just a taste of the whole game. I wish there was more but, oh well, I enjoyed what I got to play.

That said, WarioWare mini-games are meant to be played over and over and over and over again and you can do that in this demo. Can you get a great high score? The demo keeps track of how you’re doing so far.

What about the mini-games? What are they like?

In WarioWare: Get It Together! you actually control each of the characters in the game. So the mini-games here are more interactive than we’ve seen in previous games and sometimes a little tougher. A given mini-game can be super easy with one character and pretty hard with another.

Each of the mini-games in the demo are, of course, extremely weird. Weird, goofy, and stupid mini-games are very on brand for WarioWare! If you don’t laugh or shake your head (or both) during this demo, than this game isn’t for you.

I had a lot of fun with the mini-games. It was nice to see a Splatoon surprise in there.

My favorite mini-games in WarioWare are the retro 9-Volt ones and other than the Splatoon one, I didn’t see many of them in the demo. 9-Volt in not a demo playable character. sigh. Well I guess you have to leave something cool for the full game!

Note: the demo also lets you try out two-player either on the same system or via local wireless. I did not get a chance to try this out. If you have friends who love WarioWare, you should download the demo and try it out with them.

WarioWare: Get It Together! releases on September 10th, 2021. Try out the demo now!
