blankThe arrival of the nasty Covid19 pandemic has forced many gamblers to sit at home and play online. This is the time to embrace internet gaming in Africa and other parts of the world where internet gaming is not popular.  SiGMA is a major iGaming event, which can help in a smooth transition from land-based gaming to internet gaming.

Most of the gaming events focus on rules, marketing, and legal issues; however, SiGMA is different in various aspects as it aims to integrate technology with gaming.  SiGMA works to accelerate the development of gaming in the country by attracting investors from different parts of the world. Regrettably, no major event took place in Africa in 2020 due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Nevertheless, the online gaming market has grown leaps and bounds.

To draw the attention of local and foreign investors, Africa should host local gaming events in some of its major cities. These events can help address important issues such as responsible gaming, rules, taxation, and marketing. In addition, these events can educate gamers and investors about the benefits of the gaming market.

Though, the African investors are not very keen on investing in the iGaming sector because of several reasons such as the taboo linked with it and because they are not educated on how the gaming industry works. However, data has revealed that more than 35 countries of Africa have incorporated internet gaming. Looks like the face of internet gaming is gradually changing in Africa and soon people will see colossal growth in this sector.
