Super Mario Bros. Wonder Direct 8.31.2023 (Video)
Super Mario Bros. Wonder had a Nintendo Direct today. You can check it out below and then please come back here for my thoughts on the game!
Super Maro Bros Wonder will be coming out on October 20th, 2023. There will also be a new Mario OLED Switch released on October 6, 2023.
So what do I think of the game?
Super Mario Bros Wonder looks amazing! I love all the new powerups, especially the Elephant one, and the new kingdom (Flower) looks fantastic. The new Wonder Flower is complete chaos and I can’t wait to see it in action. This game is going to be so much fun.
I also think its pretty cool how they are handling the online. It has a very Dark Souls vibe to it, with players seeing shadows of other players as they play. I like how you can help other players out and earn points for that. They didn’t say what the points would get you but I imagine there will be some kind of reward.
Its also really cool that they are bringing badges to Super Mario Bros Wonder. Thats a very Mario & Luigi rpg thing! Its nice to see a little rpg in our platformer.
Super Mario Bros Wonder looks like a great game. This was a short but very sweet Nintendo Direct. The only real disappointment is that an Elephant Mario amiibo was not announced. Hopefully this is something thats in the works. If not, why not Nintendo?!
