Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart Announced For Playstation 5

I talked about my excitement for Ratchet and Clank a bit in my More Thoughts From Me about the Playstation 5 event. But I thought it might be good to talk about the game a bit more in its own article. Here we go!

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart was a total surprise during the Playstation 5 event. After Marvel’s Spider-man: Miles Morales was shown, I didn’t think there’d be any hope of a new Ratchet and Clank too.

And then the game was shown.

Rift Apart is Ratchet and Clank to the next level. The variety in environments is jaw dropping. The level of detail is out of this world. There is so much going on in each of the places in the trailer. You just know that the PS4 would not be able to handle this game. That really is saying a lot because look at FF7 Remake! Whew.

I didn’t even mention the characters. Ratchet and Clank both look more like Pixar characters than ever. Heck, they might look better than Pixar characters. Its insane.

And we were shown actual gameplay after the trailer that showed us that yes, the game does look that good. Keep watching that actual gameplay. So much going on and quickly and I did not notice any slowdown or pauses. Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is a true next generation game. There is no doubt.

The only thing in doubt is the game’s launch date. Insomniac did not mention a release date at all. So its probably not a launch game. I hope its a 2021 game. I guess we’ll see. I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait
