More Thoughts From Me: I’m Addicted to Fantasy Life i
Hello, my name is Dan. I’m addicted to Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. How did things get this way? Let me tell you all about it.
I have a group of friends that I play with a lot on Animal Crossing New Horizons. I’ve been playing with them since New Leaf. They are really great friends. And recently we were talking about the new Fantasy Life. Two of us were really excited for game. I didn’t think I’d get the game though. I was resigned to not being able to get it.
And then.
Then something happened.
One of my wonderful friends bought me eshop cards and sent them to me in the mail. I had no idea he was going to do this. There was no warning, no notice, just a knock at the door. I saw a package on the pouch and I was like “What’s this?” I opened it and oh my gosh. Eshop cards from my absolutely fantastic friend.
I told him I got them and I thanked him and then I went and downloaded Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time on the Nintendo Switch. I want to thank him again.
I also want to say:
THIS IS YOUR FAULT NAT.
I BLAME YOU.
I am now completely addicted to Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. I play it a bunch. Maybe too much. I already have 21 hours on the game. I GOT THE GAME ON SATURDAY. I have been playing the game a lot. When I’m not playing game, I’m thinking about playing the game.
Let me tell you something: this game is super addictive. It is Animal Crossing meets Dragon Quest meets the Legend of Zelda. Honestly there’s probably more Zelda in this game than anything else. There are some parts that are obvious homages to the Legend of Zelda series. Also its so cozy. Its so cute. It makes me so happy. I’ve been pretty down in the dumps lately. Real life has sucked so much. It hasn’t sucked this much since 2020 and 2021. It’s a very rough patch. And Fantasy Life. Oh. Oh my. Every time I play it I’m sucked into this big beautiful world and have a smile on my face the whole time.
Is it perfect? Almost. I really wish you could turn off the game’s blurring because that is slightly annoying. I hear the Switch 2 version won’t have this. Everything will be sharper there. Sigh. Those lucky Switch 2 owners. STILL. Oh my gosh. The graphics are still very cute. The gameplay is amazing. There is so much to do. And I don’t think I’ve even found everything there’s do yet. I keep discovering incredible new things.
Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time gets a high recommendation from me. If you love Zelda, if you love Animal Crossing, if you love Dragon Quest (no turn-based combat with FL, but nobody’s perfect), then you must play this game.
Ok, now I’m going play this game more. I’ll see you soon. Maybe.
