Super Smash Bros Ultimate Update 3.0 First Impressions

Last night, Super Smash Bros Ultimate received an update and DLC. I wasn’t interested in the DLC, however the update had my full attention. I didn’t get to check the update out till this morning, so the following is only my first impressions of it. What do I think the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 3.0 update? Read on to find out!

Nintendo was having a lot of trouble with their servers, both for the update and the eshop, last night. Everyone wanted to download the update and the DLC! So it was only this morning that I finally got to check out the 3.0 update.

The new Smash update adds a stage builder, video editor, and a section that lets you check out other peoples stages, videos, and more.

I have not checked out the video editor yet, but I saw how impressive it was when I viewed a video showing (what looked like) Wario bouncing through a bunch of levels.

I did check out the Stage Builder and was impressed by how it easy it was to draw something and have it come to life. The tools in this stage builder are a lot better than the one on the Wii. I’m looking forward to building some levels.

Also, I was impressed by how many levels are already available in the Share section. People are creating some really neat looking stages. Best of all, you can test the stages out before downloading them. If you like a stage, you can download it by pushing save!

The new video editing tools, stage builder, and share section add so much to Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Its going to be amazing to see how these features grow.

I am absolutely sure that a future More Thoughts From Me column will talk about this update even more.

What do you think of the 3.0 update? Which new feature is your favorite and why?
