Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge Trailer

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are returning to video games in a retro styled 2D beat ’em up! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge has been announced. Check out the trailer and then come back to see me geek out about this Turtles game!

Wow! What a surprise!

A new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game has been announced and…it looks awesome!

Teenage Mutant Ninja: Shredder’s Revenge is a 2D beat ’em up in the style of The Arcade Game, Turtles in Time, and all the best of the turtles games. Its also fashioned after the 80s cartoon. The original theme song plays during the trailer! The artwork for the cutscenes is totally like the old animated show too. I can’t even begin to explain how much I loved this trailer. Let me try.

I was such a fan of the old 80s cartoon. I watched it every Saturday morning. I loved it. I also collected the Archie comics based on the cartoon and the toys. I was a Turtles kid. This trailer absolutely dug into my nostalgia of the old cartoon. It also made me very happy with its gameplay reveal.

I loved the Turtles arcade game. I think I actually did get a chance to play it in the arcade. Though my most hands on time was the NES version. I also played the other Turtles beat ’em ups. Loved those games.

And this new Turtles game, Shredder’s Revenge, is coming from the people who brought us Streets of Rage 4 and Scott Pilgrim Vs The World: The Game!!!! WOW. This is huge. You just know this game is going to be great.

My biggest hope for this game is that its going to be on the Nintendo Switch. I would so love to play this game on the Switch! Oh man.

Currently all we know is that this game is coming to PC and unannounced consoles. We don’t even know when this game is coming out. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long!

Check out Game Informer’s article here for more information and talk from the developer of the game!

Are you looking forward to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge?
