Sandland Demo Impressions

Sandland is an upcoming action rpg based on the manga of the same name by the legendary Akira Toriyama. It will be coming out next month for the Xbox Series and other systems. Last night a demo was released for it. Here are my impressions of the demo so far.

I’ve been excited for Sandland ever since I first saw a trailer of the game. I’ve never read the manga but I love Akira Toriyama’s artwork on Dragon Quest. The game also looked really fun. And now there’s a demo for Sandland!

In the demo, the player gets to roam around a huge open desert. There are some areas of the desert that you can’t go into but the area you can explore is pretty big. Lots of enemies are out and about and you can fight them or avoid them. Its much more fun to fight them and there’s several options on how to do that.

You can fight on foot with some cool moves or better yet, you can enter a vehicle!

There are three vehicle types: a tank, a bike, and a mech. By pressing the right button on the d-pad you can open a menu to choose from the vehicles. Select a vehicle and then bring them out into the world. You can easily switch between them at any time! The tank works best on mechs and pretty much anything big. The bike is fast and works well for hit and run attacks.

And the mech is great for up close attacks but can attack from afar too. All of the vehicles are awesome. The only downside is that sometimes the game’s camera can be too close or too far from the action. Otherwise, the vehicles are a lot of fun. Exploration in the demo is fun. Can’t wait to check out the full game.

The Sandland demo is pretty fun. It gives you a pretty good taste of the game’s cool combat and exploration. The full game is going to have lot of places to go and you can customize a town and your home too. The vehicles will all be customizable too, which we get a preview of a little bit in the demo. If you’re interested in Sandland, you should definitely check the demo out!

The full game comes out on April 26th, 2024.
