Cozy Grove Lets You Rebuild A Haunted Island Next Month

Here at GamesReviews.com, we love life sims. That should be obvious by now, just see our recent Story of Seasons review! Next month will see a couple of new ones coming to the Nintendo Switch, including the one we want to talk about today: Cozy Grove. Take a look at the announcement trailer for the game and then please come back here for Cozy thoughts.

Cozy Grove will be coming to the Nintendo Switch and other systems on April 8th, 2021.

Here’s what is said about the game on the Nintendo Switch eshop:

“Welcome to Cozy Grove, a life-sim game about camping on a haunted, ever-changing island. As a Spirit Scout, you’ll wander the island’s forest each day, finding new hidden secrets and helping soothe the local ghosts. With a little time and a lot of crafting, you’ll bring color and joy back to Cozy Grove!”

The game features “hand-drawn landscapes”, and “dozens of memorable characters and spirits…to find and befriend.” The story is said to “unravel over time”.

In the game you can “Collect spirit animals, craft decorations, go fishing, and more!”

The game features a “40+ hour campaign filled with side quests, designed to span months of playtime.”

The graphics for Cozy Grove remind me of Don’t Starve a bit. Its a comic/cartoon-like graphical style. I like it a lot. Its pretty cool how you can change the island from almost black and white to something more colorful.

The atmosphere of the game, based on the trailer, reminds me of Don’t Starve with a bit of Animal Crossing. I have no idea how time works in the game but imagine its closer to how time works in Story of Seasons and in Harvest Moon.

As for the gameplay, it sounds like a lot of fun. As many of you know, I’m a sucker for life-sims. I also love fishing in video games! Cozy Grove sounds really good.

What do you think of Cozy Grove? Will you be picking it up next month?
