Dungeon Munchies is an action adventure game that stars a zombie and is all about killing creatures, cooking them, and eating them. Is this weird game also a good game? Let’s find out in our review of Dungeon Munchies for the Nintendo Switch!

Dungeon Munchies is an action adventure game in which you play as a newly risen zombie who must eat. Eat brains you ask? No. He needs to eat other creatures and also cook them too. The creatures in question range from walking trees to talking bananas that tell you to “Eat me”. Yes they want to be eaten.

This is a very strange game for sure. Dungeon Munchies story is weird and yes, the gameplay is weird too. In the game, you take parts of creatures and craft ability upgrades and weapons. You can only have a certain amount of upgrades, so you have to choose wisely. And if you craft a new weapon, you lose the previous weapon. Its a strange set up for a game but its actually pretty fun.

The controls in the game are good and crafting upgrades and weapons is quick and easy. There are three different modes and we played the game on easy. The regular enemies were pretty easy overall but some boss fights were still a bit hard. Dungeon Munchies is a weird game but if you embrace its weirdness, you’ll have a lot of fun. There are so many unique enemies and weapons to see!

Graphics wise, Dungeon Munchies is a 2D side scrolling game. The art style is dark and moody but the game is weird and funny. It somehow works. Somehow, this entire game works!

Dungeon Munchies is a really fun game. You have to have a slightly dark sense of humor though and be okay with killing and cooking fantasy characters. This game won’t appeal to everyone for sure. That said, some players are in for a treat with this game. Dungeon Munchies is one of kind.

Dungeon Munchies gets a 8.0 out of 10
