Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded to Have New HD Scenes

kingdomhearts2_690x388

The Kingdom Hearts franchise, outside of the first two PS2 titles, is a rather hit and miss affair, storyline wise. There’s a lot there that’s fun to play and participate in, and then there are other parts that are there basically to show that the universe goes further than Disney. Coded was something different, not exactly important to the overall plot (not exactly in a way that warranted a full game, even a mobile game), but spin-off enough that it didn’t matter. Re:Coded suffered (benefited?) from a similar problem, although that’s about to change.

With some new fully acted scenes for the HD Collection, the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix version of Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded will have additional scenes designed to make it more important to the overall story, and will link it to some of the important events in Kingdom Hearts 3D. These scenes will be fully voiced.

I suppose it adds further value to the HD Collection, as if it wasn’t a decent enough set in the first place. As well as Kingdom Hearts 2 events previously unavailable outside of Japan, the HD collection will also bundle the first PS3 version of Birth By Sleep and the video version of Re:Coded. My wallet is ready.
