Pokémon Sun and Moon – Modest Nature

Of all the nature types in Pokémon Sun and Moon, the one everyone really, REALLY wants is modest. Modest nature Pokémon get slights boost in special attacks – which you will use more and more often as the game progresses – at the loss of some physical attack power. If you want this nature – or any nature for that matter – there is a way to do this.

As always, we are partnering with Friend of the Site, Abdallah, to both promote his videos and our written content. If you want the absolute best in Pokémon streams, head to his YouTube channel here!

Read this article as if we are attempting to get a Modest Nature Pokémon, but if you are looking for another nature, simply replace the word modest with whatever you want and the steps will remain the same.

Put together your team of Pokémon that you want to use to catch Pokémon. Since we will be talking about breeding and eggs in our next article, I have used Abdallah’s “How to Get Ditto” video as this Pokémon will be important down the road. Briefly (and for future articles), if you want a modest Pokémon to hatch from an egg, you’ll want the parents to be modest natured Pokémon.

The first Pokémon to encounter the wild Pokémon you are trying to catch needs to have two things: a modest nature and the ability Synchronize. This ability will increase the chances that, when eventually caught, your new Pokémon will have the same nature as the FIRST Pokémon to engage in the battle. It is important to remember that your Pokémon with the Synchronize ability – early on you can get an Abra that can have this ability – must be the first Pokémon put into battle, so make sure he or she is at the top of your list.

This is not an overly complicated process, but for those looking to breed Pokémon in the future and want to get specific nature’s, this is a great guide on how to accomplish that. Check back in tomorrow when we look at breeding Pokémon and hatching eggs!
