Digital Extremes Announce Warframe Nexus

Warframe is now going to be available as a free download when the PS4 launches in a few months time, but it won’t be alone. Digital Extremes have this weekend announced Warframe Nexus, a mobile app for iPhone and Android that allows you to organize your in-game tasks and character without being sat at the PlayStation 4.

Warframe Nexus will be a free download that will no doubt become a constant companion for those that really get into Warframe. It seems you’ll be able to do pretty much anything aside from playing the game itself. You’ll get alerts about critical missions (which will come in handy when in a meeting at work), organizing inventory and crafting items and you’ll even be able to organize games with friends.

Nexus was announced alongside confirmation that Warframe is coming exclusively to PlayStation 4 first, and it’ll be available as a free download alongside the PlayStation 4′s release in November.

From the press release:

“With how the industry is evolving, this really is the Player Generation,” said Steve Sinclair, creative director at Digital Extremes.  “Games are reaching players hands in so many different ways now and Sony gets it, which is why we are bringing Warframe exclusively to the PS4 first. There’s no reason not to download Warframe on day 1 if you’re an action game lover – it’s free!”
