The Last of Us Remastered Pre-Load Available Now

The Last of Us Remastered is now available to download in EU territories. Although you’ll have to wait a few days to play it, you’ll be able to install both the single player and multiplayer seperately, ahead of this Friday’s release. If you’re outside the EU, you’ll have only a few hours to wait, as it’ll unlock at midnight tonight.

Shared by Bombshell over at Neogaf, the image above shows that The Last of Us is currently downloading to his system. Don’t be put off by the relatively low file size – that’s for the multiplayer only. He explains later that you’ll be able to choose which section to download, great news for those that want to play one without the other, or for those that want to conserve the space but are still interested in playing the online modes for a longer amount of time.

If you’ve pre-ordered or plan to, your PS4 will automatically download the game while in stand-by, or you can get it started when you’re at your system. Although it offers no in-game advantages, it means that you’ll be able to play it as soon as the countdown is over. If you’d rather have a physical release, you’ll need to wait until later in the week.
