If you like video games and live theater, there’s a festival of plays opening this July in New York where all of the shows are inspired by video games.  Notable among them is That Cute Radioactive Couple which is written by Games Reviews writer Charles Battersby

Ray was prepared for the apocalypse, but he wasn’t ready to share old his fallout shelter with his new wife Jane.  When nuclear war strikes, they find themselves trapped in a bunker built for one.  Inspired by post-apocalyptic and dystopian video games like Fallout and Bioshock, this dark comedy has bittersweet fun with end of the world.

Featuring Len Rella, Amanda van Nostrand, Charles Battersby, Isaiah Tanenbaum, and Elizabeth Barkan.

Performances are:
July 10th at 9:00
July 13th 7:00
July 27th 5:30

Gamers can also see previews of all of the Game Play shows for free at the Game Play Opening Night Preview Cabaret & Party on July 5.  The Game Play festival is held at the Brick 575 Metropolitan Ave. between Union Avenue and Lorimer Street in Williamsburg from July 5–27.
