If you have been following Stage 1 of the Call of Duty World League, you know what type of intense competition has come out of it. Stage 2 is set to hit North America on April 19th, where multiple teams will continue to fight for Call of Duty dominance. The current North American standings can be found below. Are eSports getting you excited? Do you enjoy watching the competition? These leagues and tournaments are growing increasingly popular, pulling in some non-gamers into the Video Game community. Although the teams playing in these leagues are professionals at what they do, I’ve known plenty of non-gamers to watch multiple matches on YouTube and Twitch. It really is a great way to bring the general public into the video game community.

New Thursday Spotlight Format
First Set of Call of Duty Championship Qualifying Teams Determined Through Pro Division Stage 2 Finals
With an exhilarating finish to Stage 1 Pro Division of the Call of Duty® World League (CWL) Presented by PlayStation®4, all eyes are now turning to the kick-off of the CWL Pro Division Stage 2 beginning April 19.
As during Stage 1, matches will continued to be broadcast live every Tuesday andWednesday via CallofDuty.com, on Twitch, MLG.tv and the in-game (BO3 PS4) Live Event Viewer. New to Stage 2 is the “Match of the Week,” a premier weekly matchup airing each Thursday. These matches will be the keystone in a weekly recap show that summarizes the action in all three CWL Pro Division regions, Australia/New Zealand, Europe, and North America.
In addition to the return of high-intensity matches, Stage 2 of the CWL also will feature collaboration with Major League Gaming to host live events, as well as daily and weekly online tournaments via GameBattles.com. These live events and the additional tournaments will offer up-and-coming players the opportunity to earn a chance to qualify for the Call of Duty Championship later this year.

Newcomers to Stage 2, Cloud9 and King Papey will join H2K Gaming and Dream Team, as they look to compete for one of the coveted top eight spots and a chance to participate in the CWL Stage 2 Finals in mid-July.
