Has Batman Arkham Knight Spoiler Been Ruined?

batman_arkham11

As so often happens, Warner Brothers have been showing off the merchandise for the upcoming Arkham Knight game… but perhaps they shouldn’t have.

Buried where only keen eyes will see it, this limited edition statue available to pre-order on Amazon contains what just might be a major spoiler for the next in the hugely popular superhero franchise.

At the bottom, on a plaque, reads the words “From a grateful city in memory of the Gotham Knight.”

It should be presumed that this is an early plot point. Even though they’ve revealed this ahead of time, there’s no way Warner Brothers would spoil their own ending this far in advance.

Just to make it that extra bit suspicious, Amazon have since changed their imaging. The plaque beneath the statue now reads The Gotham Knight.

That doesn’t specifically mean anything, and doesn’t say anything more about Batman’s death than the original plaque did, but it certainly indicates that this is something that wasn’t supposed to be let out of the bag.

This spoilerific limited edition version of Batman: Arkham Knight is available for purchase on Amazon for £79.99. It’ll be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in early June.
