If you haven't had the opportunity yet to play Horizon Zero Dawn, you need to stop reading this article, head to your nearest retailer, and grab a copy. If not for a few heavy hitters from Nintendo, you'd likely be playing the Game of the Year; if you want my opinion on the matter, it stands a chance to win, regardless of what has been released so far this year! To extend the game play experience, the developers have released a large DLC expansion for the game title The Frozen Wilds, which adds a whole new biome for Aloy to explore, and quests to complete.

Assassin's Creed Origins is a fantastic experience from start to finish, and very few things made my cringe in my current 40 hour play through. Full disclosure: I haven't done everything you can do in this game yet, but am planning to do so. What I have done though, is experience all the new mechanics Ubisoft has included in the title, as well as completed what I consider a pretty good story, at least when compared to other Assassin's Creed titles! Although your original starting point of Siwa will be light on the restricted areas you can enter, when the large world of Assassin's Creed Origins finally does open up to you - especially in your first major city, Alexandria - you will realize that restricted zones are a dime a dozen. Enter them, and be prepared for a fight. Get spotted, and in certain situations, it is as good as a game over. There are ways to successfully enter, kill, and loot an entire location, but careful skill is needed to do this. Your weapon of choice in these situations? The Predator Bow.

One of the better features of Assassin's Creed Origins is to snap photos around the world of Ancient Egypt and share them with friends. While you begin exploring the world and consulting your map to see which outposts and camps you might have missed, you are bound to see a number of photo icons dotting your map. Those are not objective, but simply photos taken by others that you can look at. After spending about a half hour last night looking at a bunch of these photos, I realized on thing: Assassin's Creed Origins looks fantastic!

There are a number of things you can do in Assassin's Creed Origins that are never actually spelled out for you, and you'll need to learn to do it on your own. Some of these things are fairly minor and obvious, such as dipping your arrow in a fire to set it ablaze. Others, however, are not as obvious, and if it wasn't for all the good people on Twitter, I might have never known this was an option. I call it the Autopilot and Senu Scope technic, and it has changed the way I play Origins!

We've been playing Assassin's Creed Origins for about 6 hours now thanks to Ubisoft Canada, and the game is absolutely pheonmenal. From the graphics, to the audio, to the new and improved gameplay, it is quite obvious that Ubisoft's year off from the franchise went to good use! While everyone was fairly certain Rocket League would eventually be coming to retail in physical form, I'm not sure anyone was certain that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment would be the company behind getting that done. Today, WB and Psyonix entered a worldwide retail distribution agreement to bring the title to major retailers in time for the holidays.
