With Master Chief, PDP has 2 of the 3 Video Game Giants on Board

The Master Chief Pixel Pal from Performance Design Products will be available to preorder soon from Walmart, Best Buy, and GameStop / EB Games on 08.08 and when the figure itself launches on 09.12, PDP will have officially made partnership deals with both Nintendo and Microsoft for their Pixel Pal lineup of collectibles. We all know that PDP has a great relationship with all of the big three, as is obvious by their plethora of Officially Licenced products for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Playstation 4. But today we are talking about Pixel Pals, and after next month, we will only have to wait for Sony to come on board!

Nintendo’s characters provided the easiest source of inspiration for PDP when designing the first wave of Pixel Pals, and to diversify the source material for #01 – #10, they hooked up with Bethesda to release Vault Boy, and went back to the hay days of gaming to nab Mega Man. With more partnerships, PDP can access more markets for their products, and I think the release of Master Chief will be huge for the company.

Knowing that Microsoft is now on board – at least the release of Master Chief seems to signal this – my mind can only wander and guess what other great characters from the Microsoft vaults might re-emerge in pixels! Marcus Fenix perhaps, from Gears of War? Or might we get some other HALO Characters in the near future? What about an amazing Nathan Drake collectible?

Wait, that’s Playstation.

Playstation is next, mark my words, and the Pixel Pal collection will only continue to grow. Based off numbers we are seeing online, Pixel Pals are tremendously popular right now, and likely will only continue to be. Once we see what else is coming from Microsoft, and when and how Playstation will come on board, we will know how big the market is for these wonderful figures.

What is your favorite figure to date, and what figure would you like to see from Sony? Let us know via social media!
