Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us Coming to Cinemas in Select Locations Worldwide

If you’ve followed GamesReviews.com for a while now, you’ll understand that we have a huge love for Pokémon. Whether it be the video games, the TV shows, the card game, and yes, even the movies, if it has to deal with Pokémon, we are really excited about it. Today, the Pokémon Company announced that they would be releasing Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us, which will be coming to select theatres world wide November 24, 26, 28 and December 1st. Here are a few more of the details, courtesy of Pokémon public relations:

Based on the globally popular Pokémon brand, Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us follows Ash and Pikachu as they join forces with a diverse new cast of characters to rescue a seaside town from a series of threatening incidents. Filled with unique challenges and thrilling Pokémon battles, and set during a festival celebrating the Legendary Pokémon Lugia, this heartwarming film illustrates the value of teamwork and putting aside each other’s differences.

The focus of the movie is teamwork, and putting aside differences to accomplish seemingly impossible tasks. The trailer above does an excellent job setting the scene for the movie, and providing enough detail to get us all in the theatre seats later this year. For event times and locations, fans of the series can log onto the Fanthom website and get updates when the information is available. Here is a bit more about the film:

Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us gives fans and families an opportunity to come together in witnessing new plotlines, characters, and settings unfold in the Pokémon world,” said J.C. Smith, senior director of consumer marketing at The Pokémon Company International. “We can’t wait to bring the magic of Pokémon to life on the big screen again with Fathom Events’ expertise in event cinema.”

Will you be heading to theatres when this launches? Let us know!
