More Thoughts From Me #130: Time For Adventure…Again!

Captain Toad is at it again. Nothing can keep Captain Toad away…from adventure! I played Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker on the Wii U. I loved it there. And I was excited when I heard the game was coming to the Switch and 3DS with four brand new levels (based on Mario Odyssey). I recently got Captain Toad on the Switch! I haven’t played the new levels yet but I have been replaying levels that I played on the Wii U. Is Captain Toad worth playing again if you already played it on the Wii U? Is this game still fun?

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is still fun. I’m not going to lie to you or keep you in suspense. Captain Toad is an absolutely wonderful game on the Nintendo Switch. If you played it on the Wii U, buy it on the Switch anyway!

Why should you buy this game again? Here are my reasons:

First of all, the game looks better than ever on the Switch. The graphics were great on the Wii U but the game is Super Mario Odyssey level on the Switch.

Second of all, you must play this game in handheld mode. The graphics look just great as they do on the TV and you get touch controls! These controls are absolutely essential to the game too.

Third of all, you can now play Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker anywhere, anytime!

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a delight on the Switch. If you don’t believe me, go read Adam Roffel’s review!

Also, if you have a 3DS and not a Switch, you’re in luck. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker came out on the 3DS too. And that version is also wonderful. If you got enough money to buy both versions, do it! We need a Captain Toad sequel.

Have you played Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker? What system did you play it on? What do you think of the game? Please share your thoughts in the comments. Adventure awaits!

Next week: Recently, I got the game Severed (3DS) from My Nintendo. Its a very unique indie game and I’ll tell you all about it next week!

More Thoughts From Me is an opinion column. The thoughts expressed here are mine and mine alone. We need a Captain Toad amiibo. And yes, a sequel too!
