E3 2018 – Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Revealed – Ubisoft Press Conference

Odyssey, one of the greatest stories ever told, is now the title of Ubisoft’s upcoming Assassin’s Creed game! Once again, the development team is changing up the way people will play Assassin’s Creed, putting more of an emphasis on stealth combat, allowing people to play as a man or as a woman, and working on expanding the modern day storyline in ways recent games haven’t!

Odyssey
The game is going full RPG, building on the things already present in Origins. Branching storylines and dialogue options will give players more control over their characters, as well as how the world around you plays out. This will be significant for character growth, connecting players with their character more then ever. Customization of outfits will also be enhanced this time around, again giving players great control.
Romance will also be a factor in Odyssey, giving players the opportunity to woe other characters. The interactions between characters throughout will have more of an impact on how the game progresses, and some of the main characters can even be brought into your team, aboard your own ship!
Odyssey
Ships are back, more in the vein of Black Flag and Rogue, and less like the ships from Origins. Ancient Greece, understandably, is surrounded by water, so getting around while require a lot of sailing. People can be brought on to join your crew, and you will often engage in naval combat that will require a strong crew.
We are really excited for Odyssey, and will produce more content as information becomes available! When we first took the previous Assassin’s Creed game for a spin – Assassin’s Creed Origins – we were blown away by the changes made to the franchise. With even more changes promised in this release, while still maintaining some of the great advancements Origins made, Odyssey is primed to be the best Assassin’s Creed ever! If you are planning on getting the game, we want to know what you are most excited for! Let us know!
