Inksplosion

Twin stick shooters can be really good time killers. Not every twin stick shooter is created equal, but many of them that I have played are quick bursts of fun that are always good to revisit. Inksplosion is a recent release for the Nintendo Switch eshop. It is a shooter that is crazy about ink. Is it a good shooter or a bad one? Lets find out!

Inksplosion is a pretty simple game, but surprisingly addictive.

In this game, you control a tiny ship in a small area. Your goal is to take out as many enemy ships as you can before they take you out. The controls in this game are very easy to learn. You may think by looking at previews of this game that its not that hard, however you would be wrong.

The INK in Inksplosion is everywhere and it makes seeing enemy ships and projectiles very hard. The Ink is basically what makes this game challenging. You have to pay attention and focus in on everything thats going on. One wrong move and you’re dead!

There is more than one mode in this game and you unlock them by getting a specific high score. This can be tricky but I believe in you. You can do it.

Perhaps my favorite thing about Inksplosion is that has video capture. Not many games on the Nintendo Switch have this feature yet. I really wish more games would! Video capture is perfect for Inksplosion because the levels are super short and its easy to show off some gameplay and your score in the quick videos.

Inksplosion isn’t a great game, but it is a good one and provides some simple and very quick fun. If you are in the mood for a good twin stick shooter, then you should check this one out.

Inksplosion gets a 7.0 out of 10.

Thanks to Ratalaika Games for providing a review copy of this game. Inksplosion is currently available on the Nintendo Switch eshop!
