R.B.I. Baseball 18 Launches Today

If you’ve owned an Xbox One unit for long enough, you are likely very familiar with the R.B.I. series as it has been the only MLB game available on the console for a number of years now. While the PlayStation 4 has the luxury of having MLB: The Show year in and year out, Xbox fans are left with the relatively good and addicting R.B.I. series. As an arcade baseball fan, I’m more than OK with this being the only MLB offering on the Xbox One.

Today, the 2018 iteration of R.B.I. baseball launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, for reasonable price of 29.99. This year marks a huge leap for the franchise in terms of content, including a new franchise mode that allows you to play through 10 seasons with one team, making trades and dealing with injuries. An update soundtrack will make the newly enhanced ball parks feel alive, and more realistic MLB player animations are also adding to the atmosphere being created.

I’m always a huge fan of R.B.I. Baseball, despite the minor nuances and glitches that come with each release. The gameplay is incredibly addicting and the easy nature of play makes this a very accessible experience, even for MLB rookies like myself. Playing a sports game with friends has never been easier! If you own an Xbox One, this is the baseball game available to you, and it’s likely to be a great experience. If you are on PS4, while you have other options, none will be as accessible as this.

We will have a full review of R.B.I. Baseball 18 soon, so stay tuned!
