Dragon Quest Builders 2 Demo Now Available on PS4 and Switch

Dragon Quest Builders 2 is coming out on July 12, 2019. However, if you’d like to get a glimpse of the game now, you can! A demo for DQ Builders 2 is available now on the PS4 and Switch. I’ve played the Switch demo a little bit and will give you my first impressions below.

The Dragon Quest Builders 2 demo gives players a look at the beginning of the new game. It teaches players how to build stuff and then shipwrecks them on an island.

I’ve only played a little bit of the demo but so far, I’m pretty impressed. The first game was good but it looks like the second one might be better.

First of all, the graphics in DQ2 are without a doubt better. Everything appears to be more detailed and the graphics are just better over all.

Building seems easier in this game too. I also really like the new pop-up menu and snapshot creator. DQ2 looks like it’ll provide some pretty interesting tools.

My hope for this new game is that it focuses more on building and less on combat. Of course, I still wish the combat in this game was turn-based. Dragon Quest as an action game still seems a little strange to me. Don’t get me wrong: Dragon Quest Builders is fun but I have to admit that I’m looking forward to Dragon Quest 11 S a little bit more than this game.

Even so, I look forward to playing more of the Dragon Quest Builders 2 demo!
