Mario Tennis Aces is hitting the Nintendo Switch at the exact right time, about half a year before Nintendo's next major multiplayer title - Super Smash Bros Ultimate - and just a few months before Nintendo's paid online access take affected. And this timing is incredibly important, because despite its shortcomings on single player content, Mario Tennis Aces is setting itself up to be one of Nintendo's better online offerings in recent memory. With the promise of a robust online system, Mario Tennis Aces is about to hit the next level.

The last few Mario Tennis titles have been a bit of a let down, but Mario Tennis Aces was looking to be the re-awakening of the franchise. For the last 4 or so days, we have been taking Mario Tennis Aces for a spin, and are enjoying it so far. While some aspects of the game may grow tiresome after we play it for weeks on end, after a few days, everything is still feeling fairly fresh. The biggest reason why we were excited about Mario Tennis Aces was the previously announced Adventure Mode. And we have some details for you!

Today, Nintendo provided further details about the Mario Tennis pre-launch tournament that is scheduled for ahead of the games official release on June 22nd. The event will run from June 1st at 6:00 PM Pacific to June 3rd at 11:59 PM Pacific. Watch the video below for more details!
