It’s been 9 years since I first experienced The Last of Us, which I originally played on PS3. The game for me unraveled a story like no other I had ever experienced in my 30+ years of gaming. One of my favorite games of all time is getting the “remake” treatment. The Last of Us had a profound impact on me as a gamer as well as being a father, it was the first game to actually make me shed a tear for what I was experiencing and for that I will never forget it, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. With that being said, we are eagerly awaiting the next gen treatment…

Back on June 14th 2013, The original The Last of Us game came out and changed what video games could be forever. With groundbreaking graphics, writing better than many blockbuster movies released today, outstanding acting, outstanding sound design...it goes on and on. From my very first time playing it I was hooked, and it quickly landed in my top 3 games of all time despite it's gut wrenching opening that literally made me shed tears. It was the last hoorah for the PlayStation 3. Flash forward to today, and we must ask if The Last of Us Part II repeat history? 

Good news! We (thanks to the awesome folks at Sony Interactive Entertainment Canada) have the pleasure of being able to play, experience and review The Last of Us II. This is truly one of the most anticipated titles to come across our gaming consoles this generation, despite the leaks and negative press from some!
