After the fanbase-splitting ending to Mass Effect 3, a survey concerning the future of the franchise was always going to bring out people who wanted their opinions heard. While it's hard to envy the guy that has to go through it all over the coming months, one thing is certain: there have been an awful lot of responses.

EA have this morning sent out an email confirming that owners of The Sims 2 will be receiving the "Ultimate Edition" of the game for free via Origin. Later this month they'll be dropping technical support for the 2004 hit, and want everybody to have "the most up-to-date" version in their collection. If you're a fan, prepare yourself for a huge amount of new DLC.

There is no combat to speak of in Whispering Willows; its more the element of avoidance and timing in the presence of enemies. There are few enemies, but they do occasionally turn up and are frankly one of the most frustrating things in the game.

Considering that Out of the Park Development's signature Out of the Park Baseball series is a constant time sink in my life, there's no denying I was excited to play their foray into hockey simulation, Franchise Hockey Manager. 2k Games have announced Battleborn, which is described as a next-gen hero-shooter that will be available on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC. From Gearbox, the creators of Borderlands, the CGI reveal trailer showed no gameplay, but focused on five different characters all presumably playable that aide each other in battle from an onslaught of seemingly endless enemies. The game is said to have both a co-operative campaign as well as competitive multiplayer matches and will feature a multitude of formidable heroes.

As soon as I booted up Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) for the first time, I felt myself pulled back in to a mythical medieval world that I have come to adore. The tone, look, and sounds of ESO will fill any player with feelings of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim nostalgia. The Elder Scrolls Online lets the player assume the role of a soul trapped in a realm called Coldharbour that is ruled by deadric prince Molag Bal.

Games for Windows Live wasn't something most people liked, and those same individuals were only too happy to see it go the way of the dodo. PC Gamers have been talking about the service shutting down for quite some time, since a patch to Batman Arkham City effectively ditched its DRM. Microsoft have been pretty definite in what they've been saying as well... until now.

The game is focused on multiplayer, having no single player aspects at all, not even a practice mode, which can be excused since it is a game that is on Facebook and therefore being directed to be played with friends. There isn't any real time multiplayer, it's the type where a person plays one round and waits for his/her's opponent to complete their round. It's not easy, being a delivery boy in the future. While today the worst you might come across is aggressive dogs or mustachioed old ladies frightened to open the door in case you're a little bit "ethnic," in the future you'll actually have people trying to kill you. Which is fine, because at least then you know where you stand. In Space Run your goal is to reach your destination as quickly and as safely as possible. Only one thing is certain: it ain't gonna be easy.
