Football Game

Football Game isn’t a real football game. Let’s get that out of the way. Instead, Football Game is a point and click game set around a football game. The player takes control of a high school football player who is just looking for his girlfriend. Can you find her? Will you want to find her? Here is my review of Football Game for Nintendo Switch!

Football Game is an old fashioned point and click affair. This game has everything fans of the genre would expect: collecting items, talking to people, and solving puzzles…mostly by trading items. If you like this type of game, you’ll likely like Football Game.

The point and click controls work with the touch screen in portable mode and via analog controls everywhere else. I thought the touch screen controls were good but mostly stuck with the analog controls. Either way you go, Football Game controls well.

There really isn’t anything special about the gameplay nor the game’s story. There is a mystery going on and depending on how invested you are in the main character, you’ll want to solve it. I did wish that the game had voice acting. The character’s mouth moves like they should have it, but there is no voice acting in this game.

Football Game’s graphics are good, though the lighting in the game is very dark and you’ll need to adjust the brightness (every time you play).

Overall, Football Game is a neat point and click experience. The story is mysterious, the graphics are good, and the gameplay is what you expect from the point and click genre. If you are a fan of these games, you should check out Football Game.

Football Game gets a 7.5 out of 10.

Thanks to Ratalaika Games for providing a digital code for this review. Football Game is now available on the Nintendo Switch.
