Microsoft Announced The Master Chief Collection for Xbox One

Perhaps the biggest news out of the Microsoft conference – and the piece of software that’ll keep gamer’s warm for Christmas and beyond – has to be the announcement of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection. This fantastic set puts together all four of the main Halo titles into one large set, bringing together all of the story, all of the multiplayer and a few extra bonuses as well.

That’s right, The Master Chief Collection brings together Halo Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4, all on a single blu-ray disk. Halo 2 has received a brand new makeover, as recent rumours have suggested, but nobody could have possibly seen this one coming. Beyond the remake and holding together all the games, The Master Chief Collection boasts an amazing 100 maps, including all of the DLC for the more recent games. These maps are largely available in their original engines, unaltered, although there are a few exceptions (six of the maps from Halo 2 have been remade).

On top of the games, you’ll also be able to watch the brand new digital series, Halo: Nightfall, and access to the Halo 5 beta which will be available in December.

The only thing nobody mentioned was price. I know what Microsoft will want us to pay, but how fair are they going to be?
