Team 17 and OverBorder Studio Plague-ridden World Thymesia Release Date Announced
Great News! Team17 and OverBorder Studio have today announced that punishing fast-paced action-RPG Thymesia will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on 9th August. In the game you play as the mysterious masked protagonist Corvus, throughout the game players will battle through the plague-ridden and blood-soaked streets of Hermes which was once a thriving city against unforgiving enemies. In the Kingdom player is tasked with uncovering the truth and saving Hermes, Corvus will utilize mysterious plague-powered weapons revved from fallen foes and use them to execute devastating attacks as he overcomes seemingly impossible odds and uncovers the truth hidden in his memories.
A few things Thymesia trailer show that I like beside how the game visually looks and how the music got my pumped up are the combat movement and the plague weapon system that caught my interest and I can’t wait to see the different builds and skills I can use to fight against challenging enemies. With this concept players will have to prepare and come up with a strategy where their skills will be tested constantly and they will have to learn to adapt to every challenge they encounter.
One thing that got me curious is the fact that the character is wearing a mask so you wonder what mystery is behind my character as you explore the world to recover your past memories, this just make me more and more curious about the storyline and the character development.
Thymes Key Features:
- Weaponizing diseases: Seize diseases from enemies and wield them as deadly weapons
- Fight Your Way: Upgrade and modify Corvus’ basic movements and plague weapons to devastating effect
- A dark and deadly world: With a sinister and gloomy backdrop, Thymesia oozes character through its environments and setting
- Unforgiving enemies: Corrupted by the plague, and mutated into monsters, enemies are twisted and incredibly hostile, challenging players at every turn
For players wanting to test their prowess against the forces already wreaking havoc on Hermes ahead of Thymesia’s August launch, a Steam demo is available for a limited time between now and Monday 9th May.
