Playmobil Country 71443 – Vegetable Garden with Grandparents

There are a number of Playmobil sets that I classify as “addons” as opposed to complete sets on their own. These sets provide a number of great pieces that would make great accessories to larger sets you might already own. The Vegetable Garden with Grandparents set is the perfect example of this.

My kids have a ton of Country themed Playmobil sets, and they love the mall. We have a number of tractors, a barn, and more that my kids play with weekly. Sad to say, this review was supposed to be published in early February, and unfortunately I forgot to push it! The bonus to this happening is that 2 months later than anticipated, my kids are STILL pulling this set, and other Playmobil sets, out of the closet to play with.

I love the Vegetable Garden with Grandparents set because of the fantastic pieces. Not only are you getting a small vegetable patch, but you also get little potted plants, baskets with gardening tools, a hoe, a little baby pig, and so much more. The set even includes a little puppy, along with three Playmobil figures – two grandparents and a grandchild.

What I really enjoy is this set has a water play feature as well. Water can be poured into the base of the garden bed which will push flowers into an upright “grown” position. I think this is really cool, and although my basement floor hates the little pools of water, my kids are drawn to Playmobil sets with water features.

If you are heavily invested in the Playmobil Country theme, I think this is an excellent additional set to have alongside one of the many barns, the tractors, and more. It might not be the biggest set you can get, but the value is immense here. This set regularly can be found on-sale on Amazon for around $30 CAD, but even at the MSRP of $37.99, it is an incredible value for what you get.
