Robot Quest Arena Unboxing

A few months ago, I remember seeing the Kickstarter campaign for Robot Quest Arena, and as much as I wanted to back the project, I was swamped in board game work already and wasn't sure I would find time to get it onto the table after it arrived. The Kickstarter finally delivered this month, and when I saw it was an option for us to review, I reached out hopeful that we could take this game for a spin after all. Although this isn't an impression article or a review, I can tell you after a few plays that I'm disappointed I didn't pull the trigger on the Kickstarter version, which comes with a LOT more content in the box. To that end, join me as I unbox the Retail Version of Robot Quest Arena.

With major stock woes plaguing the popularity of Disney Lorcana, Ravensburger is pushing forward with their plans to release Chapter 2 of the highly collectible trading card game title, Rise of the Floodborn. Brand new starter decks, deck boxes, sleeves, and mats, here is hoping the Chapter 2 launch of Disney Lorcana goes smoother than Chapter 1, and that Ravensburger plans to do something about Local Game Stores (LGS) selling at ridiculous prices. “The response to the release of the…

Disney Lorcana had it’s final launch last week Friday, so it’s been a week since the game has been available at both Local Game Stores (LGS) and big box stores like Walmart, Target, and GameStop. So after a week, let’s take a look and see what the Disney…

The Great Game Pass Debate Returns

It seems for a while everybody had settled on the idea that Game Pass wasn’t some kind of weird space/time hack. It works, it’s profitable and it’s popular. Then Starfield came along and broke everybody’s minds all over again. Is six million players enough for Microsoft to be happy with Starfield’s release? Have enough people paid for the game through Steam to subsidise the obvious losses made from a subscription service? Should we be concerned that only one million people…

Unboxing Life of the Amazonia

Bad Comet Games has made one of my top 5 animal games of all time in Wild: Serengeti (soon to be renamed Life of the Serengeti). When I saw they were releasing another animal game through Kickstarter, I reached out to see if there was a chance we could review the game. Not only were they nice enough to send over the Kickstarter edition of the game (with all the stretch goals), but also included the upgraded tokens as well…

Starfield: Review Predictions

Within 24 hours, critics across the world will be sharing their thoughts on Starfield. And it’s clear that they have something pretty special in their hands. Honestly, I’ve never seen this level of hype from critics before. Everybody seems to be sharing hints and teasers. Some are saying it’s their biggest review ever. I’ve seen at least one review split into two videos. Notice so far I haven’t said anything about good. None of the above precludes an 8/10, or…
