Final Thoughts – OnePlus 13 Review
Over the past week, we have been pushing our various articles around our review of the OnePlus 13 smartphone, one of the best smartphones on the market right now. While there are a few things we don’t love about the device – anytime you shell out more than $1000 for a phone it’s a bit tough – OnePlus is standing at the top of the smart phone pile when you take that price, and match the myriad of features packed into the phone.
There is a caveat to all of this. I think the OnePlus 13 is a great smartphone, and if you are going to use all the features it has to the maximum – better performance for games, wireless charging, faster charging, better cameras, etc – then I would say drop the extra money and pick up the OnePlus 13.
If you don’t use those features to their maximum benefit, can I recommend the OnePlus 13R? We have also been taking this phone for a spin side-by-side with it’s big brother, and while you are definitely going to pay less for the 13R, you also get less features. That said, I think there is a huge market for the 13R, so kudos to OnePlus for providing the option!
But back to the OnePlus 13. I think when you compare what the OnePlus 12 was doing compared to the competition, and you now compare what the OnePlus 13 is doing compared to the competition, it’s a night and day difference. I reviewed the OnePlus 12R and thought it was a phenomenal phone. That being said, I did review the Genshin Impact phone and since i played a ton of mobile games, it made sense for me over what others were producing.
But when comparing basic features, I think the OnePlus 12 just wasn’t quite up to snuff with what others were offering – they’ve learned from that, I think. Although I’m not crazy about the price – and frankly, that’s more me thinking ALL smartphones are too expensive – this is a phone that is now competing to be at the top of the Android pile, and I think it might have succeeded. The OnePlus 13 marks a massive improvement for OnePlus, which major changes and industry leading standards. OnePlus is doing things others aren’t in the space right now, and frankly, for a cheaper price as well.
We are linking all of our articles below, but rest assured we are quite impressed with the OnePlus 13 smartphone – if you are an Android user and want a new phone this year, I think this might be it!
