I love simulation games and so when I was asked if I wanted to review a game about packing stuff up and moving well, I thought why not. It should be a simple, cozy, zen-like game to play right? Right?! Here’s our review of Moving Houses for the Nintendo Switch.

Its time for you to move. You really need to get out of this house. There’s a moving truck and boxes. So you grab a box, take it into your house and start packing up the house one object at a time. Sounds like a cozy, zen-like experience right? Right?!

Well, there is a bit more to Moving Houses than meets the eye. You’ll start to notice that things are getting spooky. Those task messages seem a bit off. Objects in the rooms are not where they should be, including some objects on the ceiling?! What’s going on here?!

Moving Houses isn’t what it appears to be. Welcome to a simulation game, that’s also a horror game. The story is revealed through the task messages and some other ways that we won’t spoil. This game gets freaky. Whoa. Though, it also a zen-like experience. For awhile anyway.

The gameplay in Moving Houses has you picking up objects, packing them, throwing them, kicking them, and exploring this unique house. Its pretty simplistic gameplay but it addictive and you want to keep packing because you want to know what the heck is going to happen next.

Moving Houses isn’t a long game. I admit I did get lost a little bit toward the end and had to look online for help. Its not too tough though. There’s no fighting in this game or dying. You might be confused about where to go sometimes but overall, the game is not too tough and it could be finished by just about anyone.

The controls are pretty simple and work well. The game isn’t the most impressive game you’ll find our Switch graphically but it does its job. Moving Houses is a really good game!

Moving Houses is a short, spooky experience that’ll sneak up on you. Packing is kind of fun too. Its not as bad as real life. The game runs well on Switch and if you are looking for a spooky game to play, then you should check this one out! It’ll definitely be something I’ll want to play again come Halloween time.

Thanks to eastasiasoft for providing a digital code for this review. Moving Houses is now available on the Nintendo Switch eshop!
