A New Indiana Jones Game Is Being Created by the Wolfenstein Developer

Bethesda, publisher of Skyrim, Fallout, Wolfenstein, and more posted a teaser to Twitter today. It seemed to be teasing a brand new Indiana Jones game. This was quickly followed up by with a statement from the Wolfenstein developer. We have the info, plus the teaser below!

The developer of Wolfenstein released this statement today via Twitter:

“We’re developing a new Indiana Jones video game! As huge fans of the franchise, it’s a tremendous honor for us to create a brand-new Indiana Jones game with a completely original story. We’re very excited and can’t wait to share more in the future!”

Bethesda also added this via their Twitter account:

A new Indiana Jones game with an original story is in development from our studio, @MachineGames, and will be executive produced by Todd Howard, in collaboration with @LucasfilmGames. It’ll be some time before we have more to reveal, but we’re very excited to share today’s news! “

First of all: WOW. Second of all: WOW.

Seriously. A brand new Indiana Jones game from the developer of Wolfenstein?! The recent Wolfenstein games have been so very good. They have excellent gameplay and graphics. Our mind is reeling trying to even picture what this game will look like. It should be amazing. We can hope that they will be able to get Harrison Ford to do the voice of Indy. If not him, then maybe someone who sounds close enough. Imagine if they got Ford though. Whew.

Also its going to be an original story! Oh man. Let’s hope they get it right. We already know that Indiana Jones would translate very well to modern gaming because of the Uncharted franchise (which is very Indiana Jones inspired). Here’s hoping this is a great game! Though it sounds like it could be awhile before we find out more about the game..

We’ll look forward to hearing more about the new Indiana Jones game! What do you think? Is this game you are looking forward to? What do you want to see in it?
