Confusion continues over Watch Dogs Wii U

Last week GamesReviews' own Mat Growcott wrote a story about the cancellation of Watch Dogs on the Wii U based on preorder cancellations from GameStop in Italy. This week, Nintendo announced their 2014 launch schedule and Watch Dogs is not on the list. For many, this may be as close to a confirmation that Watch Dogs will in fact not appear on Wii U. However, Nintendo and Ubisoft have yet to make an official announcement on the ongoing rumors.

Nintendo President Taking Pay Cut

The Wii U has been nothing but trouble for Nintendo. As Nikkei reported today, the poor sales resulted in the Big N recently getting slammed with a $15 million dollar operating loss, which is forcing President Satoru Iwata to take a 50 percent pay cut from now until June. Other executives are taking pay cuts, as well, by as much as 30 percent.

Rumour: Watch Dogs Wii U Cancelled

There's been some weird stuff happening with Ubisoft's Watch Dogs. Initially met with extreme excitement, things died down slightly as more videos were released, and then it was delayed weeks before launch. Despite the fact that it seemed the open world hackster (real genre name) was finished, there are new rumours abound that Ubisoft have cancelled their Wii U version of the game.

Nintendo sales for 2013

Nintendo announced yesterday that the Wii U and 3DS sales for fiscal year 2013, have slowed down significantly. So much so that they have had no choice but to revise system sales projections for the Wii U from around 9 million units to 2.8 million.
