Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle Review

The thought of Nintendo handing over it's properties to another company seemed pretty unlikely to ever happen, and fans of the company have often been divided on whether or not Nintendo should lax their stringent rules on the use of their characters and licence them out. Although we were all unaware, Nintendo made that decision back in 2014 to allow Ubisoft the right to create a crossover title with their Rabbids characters, as long as the game wasn't platform based. Ubisoft took that opportunity and ran with it, and now we are literally hours away from ...

Ubisoft’s Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle is Still Nintendo’s Mario

When images of Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle were leaked ahead of the games official announcement at E3 2017, the masses of Nintendo fans online were pretty skeptical about what they were looking at. Could it be true? Was Nintendo allowing another publisher to use their assets to create a cross over title? Turns out, this was all true, but rest assured: despite Ubisoft developing and publishing this game, and despite them using their Rabbids characters, this is still very much Nintendo's Mario!

Mario+Rabbids Footage Hitting YouTube Today

If you are hoping to be completely surprised by Mario+Rabbids you might want to be careful where you click this weekend on YouTube. As I've dealt with numerous Nintendo embargoes in the last 3 years, there is often a 30-60 min cap on captured footage. Ubisoft, however, is being a bit more lenient, and that's ok with me!

More Thoughts From Me #82: The Truth Is Still Out There

I’m about to carbon date myself a little. I remember when the X-Files originally started in the 90s. I was just a kid. I had never seen a show like the X-Files before. I’m not a PC gamer, but I do love point & click games. While I don’t remember…
