Rise of the Tomb Raider Review

I went into Tomb Raider with pretty low expectations. At X15 in Toronto, I was treated to a 20 minute demo of the first tomb in the game, and I came out of it incredibly disappointed. Rise of the Tomb Raider looked like every other action adventure puzzle game I had ever played. To me, it seemed like a poor attempt to replicate the Uncharted franchise before Uncharted 4 had a chance to come out (yes I realize Tomb Raider on 360 was similar as well).

Steel Series Siberia 200 Headset Review

I've been told my others outside of Steel Series - they told me too - that the now discontinued Siberia V2 headset was a must have more many PC gamers, and when the product was discontinued and replaced with the V3, fans complained...a lot. So, Steel Series is bringing back the V2 in seven different color variations, making a few changes, and rebranding them as the Steel Series Siberia 200 headset. Does it still perform like it's predecessor? We think so!

Opinionated Logan: Yoshi’s Woolly World

The first thing my son and I did when we received our copy of Yoshi's Woolly World from Nintendo for review was unbox the blue and pink yarn Yoshi amiibos that we purchased from Best Buy here in Canada. His impressions of the the amiibo (transcribed from audio recording):

Yo-Kai Watch Review

If you have never heard of Yo-Kai before, I would not be surprised. Although the franchise is already a huge hit in Japan - two games, a TV show, and lots of merchandise - the franchise in North America is just getting off the ground. The TV show hit North America earlier this fall, and the first Yo-Kai game in North America launches this Friday. The real question is: Is Yo-Kai Watch on the 3DS worth your time? We think so!

Yoshi’s Woolly World Review

It really has been a long time since we have received a really good Yoshi title on any Nintendo platform. It could be argued that the last, really good Yoshi game was the original Yoshi's Island! Nintendo laid out their plans for Yoshi's Woolly World a long time ago, and the game has gone major transformations from what was originally shown. The time it took to get this game out to the public made a lot of fans worried, especially as during the time period ...

Witcher 3 Awards and DLC Review

I'm not sure October could have become any better for CD Projekt Red, the studio behind the award winning Witcher franchise and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt game. Not only did they launch the first of two large expansion packs this month - which was very good by the way, more below - but they also took home five awards in the Golden Joysticks 2016!

Yo-Kai Watch to Release Friday in North America

Yo-Kai Watch has already taken over Japan with multiple games, merchandise, and a TV Show. In fact, the creators have publicly stated that they feel they are more popular than Pokemon in the country. On Friday, we will see if that success translates in North America as well.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes Review

Apparently, lumping together Zelda and the 3DS is not always going to produce an epic adventure like The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Tri Force Heroes might use the same graphical approach, but the game could not be any more different. Despite what many reviewers are saying online, I really, REALLY enjoyed my time with Tri Force Heroes, both in single player and multiplayer. Read on to find out more!

Guitar Hero Live Review

Just on the heels of Rock Band, Activision launched their own music game. Unlike the Harmonix giant, Activision completely changed up the way we thought a Guitar Hero should play, making Guitar Hero Live a completely different experience, something you will have never played before. While this new design comes with its fair share of advantages, we cannot help but look to the age old saying: If it ain't broken, don't fix it. While Guitar Hero Live does things I ...

Splatoon Pirates v Ninjas Splatfest

Nintendo needs to be applauded, loudly. Their support for Splatoon has been incredible, not only with updates to the game itself, but also by hosting frequent Splatfest's surrounding special events. Just in time for Halloween weekend, Nintendo is launching another special event for Splatoon players: Pirate's versus Ninjas.
