Too Excited for ARK 2 on Xbox Series X (Console Exclusive)

I haven been an Xbox gamer my entire life, and looking back on my yearly stats, one game stands out amongst so many others as my most played – and it’s not even close! It’s not Fortnite or Call of Duty, and it isn’t an epic single player experience that I return to year after year. It’s ARK: Survival Evolved, and I’m so damn happy to see a sequel!

In all the years ARK has existed, I’ve never actually played for a long period of time online with others. While I’m sure the game feels so much more alive with other players around, ARK wasn’t a daily grind for me, and as such; I always felt like I was a step behind the competition. I did play extensively with my brother-in-law in a private multiplayer game, and we had some epic times together. With each and every new map experience, we built towering fortresses, large dinosaur pens, and so much more. We did so much in ARK, yet we haven’t done everything.

Last night, The Game Awards blew my mind. As we recently wrote about, this games awards show was one to remember. And while I was more excited for other titles coming to console, I instantly knew that ARK II will surpass ARK: Survival Evolved as the most played on my Xbox Series X. The premise of this new adventure with Vin Diesel looks amazing, and if the graphics can even sniff the surface of what was shown last night, we are in for one gorgeous title.

A lot was announced last night, but ARK is near the top of my favourites. While I’m skeptical of the animated show, despite the stellar cast, I couldn’t be more excited for the sequel title on Xbox Series X! And as stated by the Product Manager for Studio Wildcard, this title will be console exclusive on Xbox!
