Just Ignore Them

Halloween is fast approaching and I’ve been getting to play a couple of spooky games before it arrives! I already reviewed MediEvil and now I have a review of another horror game. This one is very different. Just Ignore Them for the Nintendo Switch has no humor like MediEvil and its very, very dark. Is Just Ignore Them worth checking out?

Just Ignore Them doesn’t make sense at all. The story is like something out of a really awful horror movie. The main character is being chased by…something…and it keeps killing people that he meets. The player has to, you guessed it, just ignore “them”. And solve strange puzzles too.

The player will collect items and have to figure out what to do with them. The game doesn’t give any guidence or hints as to how to use these items. You are sometimes told where to go and then you have to try to figure out what to do. I had to look at youtube videos of the game just to figure out what to do next.

The game’s controls are pretty simplistic. Its a point and click game and you can use the touch screen or the analog/button controls. The touch screen controls work alright and can sometimes be useful for more precise selection of items. I mostly used the analog/buttons to play the game and they worked fine.

As for Just Ignore Them’s graphics, its not a bad looking game but its not a great one either.

That pretty much sums up Just Ignore Them: not totally bad but not great either. The plot just isn’t that interesting nor is the gameplay. And because the game doesn’t give you any hints or guidence, you’ll find yourself pointlessly wandering around places a lot. Some fans of horror games will like Just Ignore Them because its like a typical awful horror movie. As for everyone else, there are plenty of better spooky games on the eshop.

Just Ignore Them gets a 5 out of 10.
