Virtuous Western

The last time I played a game set in the old west, it was an rpg. This time, its a puzzle/strategy game! Welcome to Virtuous Western for the Nintendo Switch. It is a unique twist on the western shooter genre. Is it any good?

In Virtuous Western, you play as a cowboy who is out to get rid of the bad guys. There is a twist though! This cowboy can only use one bullet at a time and the bad guys have more than one.

As you navigate each level, you pick up a bullet, find the right way to kill a bad guy, and then pick up another to kill whoever else. Virtuous Western is a strategy game and a puzzle game.

More elements are added to the game as you progress and that adds more variety to Virtuous Western. The levels can feel a little repetitive at times but just when you think you know how the game works, a new wrinkle is brought in to make the game harder.

Virtuous Western is not an easy game. It is pretty fun though. Fans of puzzle/strategy games will most likely dig it.

And the game does have a simple, yet very nice 2D art style to it. Virtuous Western is a game that some might look at and think that its just shovelware; it is not. It is a game that should be played in small doses in between other games though.

If you like puzzle/strategy games and westerns, Virtuous Western is a game you should check out!

Virtuous Western gets a 7.5 out of 10.
