Getting Excited for The Ranchers (Steam)

I’m a sucker for farming simulation titles, whether it’s something more cartoony like Story of Seasons or more realistic like Farming Simulator 22. Still, anytime a new game in this genre gets announced, I’m all giddy, and that once again is true with The Ranchers, coming soon to Steam. Here are a few details (after the trailer)!

the ranchers

The Ranchers is an open world country-life sim for 1-4 players. Raise animals, grow crops, craft machines, build your dream house and explore the gigantic open world where mines and dangerous monsters abound. Earn the villagers’ respect and esteem. And who knows, maybe find love and start a family.

We will hopefully be playing this title when the Alpha launches on YouTube so be sure to subscribe and be ready to check out some farming fun! And it does appear that The Ranchers is going to give players a ton of different things to do, many of which have got me really excited. It’s like Farming Simulator met the Sims, met a cozy country lifestyle game. That seems accurate, right?

The world feels somewhat alive as well. The trailer shows you partying with friends at what looks like a bar, taking potential love interests for hot air balloon rides, and so much more. As you build up from humble beginnings – literally a tent – you will get more and more things. More animals, more buildings, more friends. More and more!

Add to that, The Ranchers will allow you to farm and ranch with friends! Assuming one person is the server host and others join, it will make for a fun experience for a group of friends who want to work together. While we don’t exactly know how that will work in the long term, it’s something worth getting excited about. Farming together is always better.

We will be playing and reviewing this fantastic looking title as we head towards launch, so stay tuned to GamesReviews and Adam’s Nintendo World for more!
