Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Coming Soon

Continuing the popular “Metal Gear Solid” series, “Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance” is set for a February 19, 2013 release in North America. The game was first announced in 2009 and has taken several years to develop the excellent story line and graphics. The single-player game will be offered on the PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360. There are currently no plans to produce a Wii U version of the game.

The game will precede the events in “Metal Gear Solid 4” and focus story line on Raiden, the cyborg battling against Desperado Enterprises. This is a spin-off from the original “Metal Gear” series and involves Raiden’s conflict with his “Jack the Ripper” persona that comes out when the character feels conflicted with his actions.

The game has been listed as one of the most anticipated games of the year. The style of the game play is very different from previous “Metal Gear’ releases. While the characters and plot seem authentic to the series, the actual game play will involve more of a “hack and slash” style rather than the stealth style seen in previous releases. This change is what makes “Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance” highly anticipated by fans of the series that are excited to see the plot line continue. “Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance” will surely live up to the high standards of the previous games and provide fans with hours of entertainment.
