Escape Dead Island Release Date Announced

escape-dead-island

Deep Silver have today announced the release date for their upcoming “third-person single-player survival mystery spin-off” Escape Dead Island. Although announced only quite recently, fans can expect to get their hands on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC title sooner than expected.

Of course, the downside is that it’ll be slap-bang in the middle of the busiest season for gamers. Escape Dead Island will be available for purchase on November 18th in North America, and November 21st in EU territories. While that means it’ll be competing with the likes of Call of Duty for mass attention, it’ll also be quite a nice distraction from the other major releases of the period.

Escape Dead Island is going to be more story-driven than previous entries in the franchise and aims to fill in the blanks concerning the Zombie outbreak and the island of Banoi. It also acts as a precursor to Dead Island 2, where several story threads will be picked up and concluded.

Fans that buy the next entry in the series will also be invited to join the Dead Island 2 beta. Although there haven’t yet been details released on that, it’s currently the only definite way of gaining access.
