Do you ever feel like going on an adventure? You know, just pack your bags and go somewhere without a desination. Of course, in real life, taking an adventure requires time and money. Thats why if you can’t go on a real adventure, then you can always find one in a video game. It may not feel as real, but sometimes a video game comes along thats all about the adventure-surviving, finding stuff, and not dying of course. The Flame in the Flood for Nintendo Switch is all about how long you can make it. What can you find? How far can you get? And you might wonder: is that a good game? Will I have fun with the Flame in the Flood? Here is my review of this game. Enter if you dare!

There are two modes in The Flame in the Flood: the Campaign mode and the Endless Mode. Both of these modes are pretty similar to each other, with the Endless mode going on, well, endlessly. At least until you die anyway. I like both modes. In fact, I like this game a lot.

I am so very addicted to The Flame in the Flood. It really has nothing to do with the game’s story at all. Don’t get wrong, the piece of the story that we are given at the outset is interesting, but the gameplay in Flame in the Flood far out weighs pretty much everything else. The Flame in the Flood is super addictive. I just keep playing this game over and over to see how much further I’ll get.

The Flame in the Flood is a super hard game, even on the supposedly easier mode. There’s just so much you have to keep track of and you just never what will kill you first. Will it be a wild animal? Will it be hungier? Thirst? Lack of rest? Drowning? Something will get you. I know it got me plenty of times. And yet I didn’t get frustrated, well not too frustrated, and I always wanted to go back and see what I can find and how far I can get. The islands and what you find on them change each time you start a new game too.

One time I’d played this game and I was finding a ton of supplies, another time I was struggling to get by. Ok, most of the time I was struggling to get by. There was maybe one or two times when I really making it far. The random quality of The Flame in Flood is pretty cool. Sometimes you feel hunted by animals everywhere you turn, other times you don’t see them too often. I do wish there were a few more island types, but the random supplies, enemies, allies, and ways in which you die really keep things interesting!

Meanwhile, you won’t be struggling with the Flame in the Floods controls. This is, in fact, a pretty easy game to control. And the menu system is super easy to navigate and its simple to create things if you have the right materials to do so. The Flame in the Flood, however, does not make use of any Switch specific controls such as the touch screen or motion controls. I’m not sure how motion controls would have worked, but using the touch screen to create things might have been cool. You whats really cool in Flame in the Flood though? The game’s enviorments are really cool!

The Flame in the Flood has really detailed environments. I really love how everything from the river to the different islands you visit looks. That said, I do wish there was a bit more variety in the way the islands look. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the character design in this game. The characters in Flame in the Flood look less realistic than the enviorment they are in. All that said, The Flame in the Flood is a good looking game. And the game has good music and sound effects too!

The music in the Flame in the Flood is pretty good. There was one piece of music in this game with vocals that I liked a lot. The only problem with the games music is that there isn’t always music playing in the background. The music seems to pop up at random times. The game’s sound effects, on the other hand, are always excellent. From rafting down the river to getting attacked by wild animals, the audio in Flame in the Flood will make you feel like you are actually in this game.

Overall, The Flame in Flood is an experiance that shouldn’t be missed. Hopefully you’ll survive it!

The Flame in the Flood is a great game. Its highly addictive and a lot of fun, so let this be your final warning! Do you have what it takes to survive? If you think so, then you definitly need to check out this game.
