“What’s New” Returns to PlayStation 4

ps4_whats_new_690x388

For those of us that only had access to the PlayStation 4 from Friday last week, there was one very big feature missing. “What’s New” has been touted as a social feed to keep up with all your PlayStation gaming, and yet it had to be turned off to deal with the sheer amount of people logging into the PlayStation Network. Now it’s back, and we can finally see what all the fuss is about.

And actually, there’s a lot to fuss about. What’s New may seem a little underwhelming at first, especially if you have your Facebook and Twitter feeds open via your smart TV and phone. As soon as you realize that this is a first of its kind for a console though, it actually starts looking pretty neat. Just think, for the first time we can see how we progress alongside others in terms of trophies, how development is going on DLC and future titles and, perhaps most excitingly, get access to behind the scenes footage and screenshots directly from our PlayStation.

All of this is now available. Simply jump onto your PlayStation 4, go across to the leftmost icon on the OS and then read how you rank to your heart’s content.
